There are many different degrees of loneliness and desperation for guys. Some of us resort to visiting strip clubs or hookers, for others a psychiatrist helps fill the void. Most of us just resort to heavy drinking. But, I ask you, how lonely and desperate would you have to be to spend $20,000 of your own money to build a fully functioning female robot? I’m pretty sure the scale of desperation reads – drink heavily < go to strip club < suicide < build a fully functioning female robot.
But one fellow, Le Trung, has defied logic and “apparently unable to find the perfect woman, has done the next best thing — built himself one.” The article states that Le Trung is a “33-year-old software engineer who lives with his parents in Brampton, Ontario”. Honestly, if you had given me three guesses to pick the creators age, job, and location I’m 99% sure I would have gotten 33 years old, software engineer and lives with his parents on the first guess.
Le Trung describes Aiko (the robot) as, “what happens when science meets beauty…Aiko doesn’t need holidays, food or rest, and will work almost 24 hours a day. She is the perfect woman.” Le Trung, that’s not a nice way to treat the future mother of your baby robots you build who don’t cry, go to the bathroom, grow older or move, even. And what a great description of what makes the perfect woman, Le Trung. I know for me, if you asked me to name the four most important traits for the perfect woman I wouldn’t even need to think about it, “Well, first things first she definitely should never have to eat, that’s just annoying. And ditto for resting, phft, what did she do all day that she has to rest? Also, no holiday’s for her and lastly, oh, yeah, she should work almost 24 hours a day. Ah, perfect.” Who needs a sense of humor or intelligence in a woman when they’re working almost 24 hours a day anyways?
So, she’s absolutely perfect, right? Oh, wait – there is one catch, “She still can’t walk”. Eh, minor detail Le Trung! Walking’s overrated. So what if everytime you want her to do something you have to go and pick her up and lug her to a new spot? That’s just more time spent together!
This is Good News for:
1. Le Trung’s Parents – Hey, now that he has a girlfriend maybe he’ll move out with her.
3. Aiko – You’re finally a real girl, Aiko, congratulations! And don’t worry, once he gives you the power to walk you’ll finally be able to escape.
Anyone else it’s Good News for? Come on, I know you’ve got it in you.
